THE HOLY SPIRIT IS ESSENTIAL! 🕊 🔥 I see now why Jesus required His apostles to receive the Holy Spirit, prior to being released into ministry. They were going to suffer some gruesome things (see below) & they needed strength to endure. We may not suffer as they did; but God’s strength is essential to being effective in ministry.

Bartholomew (Nathaniel). Crucified.

James (son of Alphaeus). Beat to death.
John. Banished.
Jude (Thaddeus). Crucified.
Matthew (Levi). Stabbed to death.
Simon Peter. Crucified.
Philip. Impaled.
Simon (The Canaanite). Crucified.
Thomas. Stabbed to death.
Matthias. Beheaded.
