Lady Rachel L Hankerson Official Homegoing 7/3/21

The Official Homegoing Service of my wonderful wife of 23 years, 6 months, 20 days, 22 hours and 30 minutes is laid to rest. She was the greatest person that I ever knew. In spite of the worst suffering imaginable; until the end, she never lost her faith. Sermonic Solo by Lady Karen Clark-Sheard. Eulogy by Presiding Bishop J. Drew Sheard is entitled, “TEMPORARILY CONFUSED.”#COGIC #TeamCOGIC #RachelsHealing #EveryTimeITurnAround

MMEJ Holy Convocation: Marvin Winans, Dorinda Clark Cole (We Have Work To Do)

In her final days, Rachel said her goodbyes to me & told me, "You have work to do." I did not want to hear that; it was too devastating. But, with that encouragement, we are trying to move forward & work in God's vineyard. You are invited to the "in person" Missouri Midwest Holy Convocation (masks required). This will be more of a revival, which is much needed for us. Thursday 7/22 is Women's Day. Supt T Marie Brown will speak @ 11A & Dr. Dorinda Clark-Cole will speak @ 7P. Friday 7/23 is Official Day. I will speak @ 11A & Bishop Marvin Winans will speak at 7P. Because the saints have been so liberal in supporting us through Rachel's Homegoing, we will not be taking up any "official" offerings in this meeting. Giving will be free will. Hotel rooms are available at the St Louis Airport Marriott. Thank you for your continued prayers for us to manage our terrible grief, EHH3 #EveryTimeITurnAround #MMEJ #TeamCOGIC #NeverForgetRachelLHankerson #WeHaveWorkToDo

Thank you from the Hankerson family

The family of Rachel LaNora Hankerson would like to thank each of you for your prayers, gifts, calls, texts, attendance, and so many other acts of kindness. A more formal correspondence of gratitude will be sent via postal mail. However, we wanted to provide you this initial notice of our gratitude. Your prayers are yet needed for Elijah IV, Raquel, Matthew, her parents, siblings, in-law, nieces, nephews & extended family. Finally, keep me in prayer. Yes, we know that God is not caught off guard. But, the sudden, unexpected illness and subsequent passing was a shock to all of us. As our Presiding Bishop J. Drew Sheard stated, we are “Temporarily Confused.” I know for a fact that my wife was a saint, a woman “sent from God.” She had so many hopes and promises. But, she died in faith, YET trusting God.  Hebrews 11:13, “These all died in faith, not having received

the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.” Through tears I yet say, “every time I turn around.”
