FALSE PROPHETS AND FALSE DREAMERS NEED TO STOP ATTACKING LEADERS!

Social media has become the platform of fools, charlatans and self-proclaimed prophets and dreamers. Their audiences have soared during this pandemic. With false prophecies, fleshly utterances, biased dreams, etc., they lure the masses into their web.

I have loss some close some close friends, that were godly individuals and believed in Holiness. So to characterize everyone that has passed in a certain light is preposterous.

These false dreamers target of choice is well known preachers, and anyone else "popular" within Christendom. Unfortunately, many naive individuals are bewitched by these hirelings, who are only looking for attention.

The very best thing a saint can do is ignore them. However, you should also be armed with Scripture to know how to deal with questions that come up about these wolves in sheep's clothing.

1.               JESUS WAS SCANDALIZED. So it is only logical that His leaders and followers will be scandalized as well.

Matthew 11:19 The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, 'Here is a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners.' But wisdom is proved right by her deeds."

Mark 3:21 When his family heard about this, they went to take charge of him, for they said, "He is out of his mind."

John 15:20 Remember what I told you: 'A servant is not greater than his master.' If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also. If they obeyed my teaching, they will obey yours also.

2.               IT COMES WITH THE TERRITORY TO BE TALKED ABOUT WHEN YOU ARE A LARGE TARGET. Any minister or someone that is constantly in the public eyes is an easy target for cowards.

Galatians 2:4 And that because of false brethren unawares brought in, who came in privily to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage:

3.               THE BEST THING IS TO LEAVE THE DREAMING TO THE OLD (SEASONED) MEN. As you see in the case of Joseph in the Old Testament, being a young man, he was off with the timing of his dream, causing unnecessary anguish. So Joel’s exhortation and Peter’s confirmation is that seasoned people should do the dreaming.

Genesis 37:9-10 ⁹Then he had another dream, and he told it to his brothers. "Listen," he said, "I had another dream, and this time the sun and moon and eleven stars were bowing down to me." ¹⁰When he told his father as well as his brothers, his father rebuked him and said, "What is this dream you had? Will your mother and I and your brothers actually come and bow down to the ground before you?"

Joel 2:28 "And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions.

Acts 2:17 "'In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams.

4.               DREAMERS IN THE BIBLE NEVER DREAMED ALMOST EVERY SINGLE DAY. Joseph the surrogate father of Jesus had four dreams in his life. There was nothing more important in Scripture than the Son of God. So how can someone have more dreams about something that is not as significant as Jesus Christ? Joseph’s four dreams are found in the following passages:

5.               DREAMERS IN THE BIBLE NEVER JUST DREAMED ABOUT MAJOR CELEBRITIES; BUT THEY HAD DREAMS THAT ALSO DEALT WITH THE COMMON PERSON. The King’s dream benefited the common every day person. So why are false prophets and false dreamers always dreaming about someone well known?

Genesis 41:35 They should collect all the food of these good years that are coming and store up the grain under the authority of Pharaoh, to be kept in the cities for food.

6.               DREAMERS IN THE BIBLE RECEIVED DREAMS AHEAD OF TIME, NOT AFTER THE FACT; AND THOSE DREAMS PROVIDED SPECIFIC INSTRUCTIONS. It is easy after the fact to say, “the Lord said.” False prophets just need to admit that they did not see the COVID 19 coming. So, do not try to save face now. Just repent, pray and consecrate like everyone else is doing; vs trying to give everyone else a word. The word is to you first.

Genesis 49:1 Then Jacob called for his sons and said: "Gather around so I can tell you what will happen to you in days to come.

7.               DREAMERS AND PROPHETS IN THE BIBLE HAD RELATIONSHIP WITH THOSE THAT THEY DREAMED ABOUT; THEY WERE NOT JUST RANDOM STRANGERS. And they grieved, not gloated over the condition of the people. Their actions are to draw sinners with the uncompromised Word of God and also lovingkindness; not gloating over falsely accusing people of wrongdoing.

Daniel 10:14 Now I have come to explain to you what will happen to your people in the future, for the vision concerns a time yet to come."

Jeremiah 9:1 Oh, that my head were a spring of water and my eyes a fountain of tears! I would weep day and night for the slain of my people.

Exodus 32:31-32 ³¹So Moses went back to the LORD and said, "Oh, what a great sin these people have committed! They have made themselves gods of gold. ³²But now, please forgive their sin-but if not, then blot me out of the book you have written."

8.               NO DREAMER IN THE BIBLE, NO PROPHET, NO APOSTLE, NO AUTHOR OF SCRIPTURE KNEW EVERYTHING 100%. So no one now can claim that whatever they “see” is inerrant.

2 Kings 4:27 When she reached the man of God at the mountain, she took hold of his feet. Gehazi came over to push her away, but the man of God said, "Leave her alone! She is in bitter distress, but the LORD has hidden it from me and has not told me why."

1 Corinthians 13:12 For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.

9.               PROPHETS IN THE BIBLE THAT WERE CHOSEN TO SPEAK TO KINGS AND THOSE IN AUTHORITY WOULD STATE THEIR QUALIFICATIONS FIRST. Just like Luke recorded Paul’s credentials in Acts. Paul did not promote himself. Other credible people (like Ananias) could attest to Paul’s calling. When you are the only one affirming yourself as a “prophet,” you are on dangerous ground.

Acts 9:15 But the LORD said to Ananias, "Go! This man is my chosen instrument to proclaim my name to the Gentiles and their kings and to the people of Israel.

10.         PROPHETS IN THE BIBLE, THAT PRESENTED WORDS TO KINGS AND THOSE IN AUTHORITY, WOULD NOT SEND THOSE WORDS TO THE MASSES, NOT KNOWING WHETHER THE AUTHORITIES WOULD GET IT OR NOT; GOD WOULD ALLOW THEM TO HAVE AUDIENCE WITH THOSE PERSONS IN AUTHORITY. Nathan went directly to David. Why would God give a word for an individual to someone that does not even know the person or have access to them?

2 Samuel 12:1 The LORD sent Nathan to David. When he came to him, he said, "There were two men in a certain town, one rich and the other poor.

11.         ANYTIME GOD DEALS WITH PROPHETS ABOUT JUDGMENT; THERE IS ALWAYS A MESSAGE OF RESTORATION AFTERWARD, THAT IS A PATTERN THROUGHOUT SCRIPTURE, BOTH OLD AND NEW TESTAMENT. For example in Isaiah, the first 39 chapters are judgment and the last 27 are restoration. Also, to the 7 Churches of Asia Minor Jesus rebuked the churches; but shared with them what would happen if they repent. Scripture does not give rebukes with no grace.

12.         NOW THAT WE HAVE A COMPLETE CANON, YES, GOD STILL RAISES UP PROPHETS; BUT THEY ARE ALL SUBJECT TO SCRIPTURE AND THEIR WORDS DO NOT HOLD THE SAME WEIGHT AND AUTHORITY AS SCRIPTURE. That’s why prophecy is judged. Scriptures, the Word of God, is NOT judged.

1 Corinthians 14:29 Let the prophets speak two or three, and let the other judge.

2 Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

13.         FROM A SOCIAL MEDIA PERSPECTIVE, ANYONE WILL TELL YOU, THAT THE EASIEST WAY TO BUILD YOUR RATINGS, IS TO DISCUSS CELEBRITIES AND WELL-KNOWN INDIVIDUALS. That is just a fact. So the best thing for you to do is IGNORE THEM! Do not comment on their material and do not share their message. And, ask everyone else to do the same.

Titus 1:10-11 10For there are many rebellious people, full of meaningless talk and deception, especially those of the circumcision group. ¹¹They must be silenced, because they are disrupting whole households by teaching things they ought not to teach-and that for the sake of dishonest gain.
