SEX SCANDALS!

In the last few weeks a lot of famous people have been "brought down" because of current or past sex scandals. My thoughts are that "the world" is DEFINITELY NOT concerned with morality; nor even the victims of these deeds. The world system is NOT concerned with setting a standard of righteousness. I believe it is all a part of a larger political scheme; reminiscent of the "televangelist" scandals of the late 1980's. At that time televangelists "dirty laundry" was aired out; because of the power of the "evangelical" vote in national elections. Nevertheless, as a Christian, right is right and wrong is wrong. God's standard of living is "Holiness" (Leviticus 10:10; 11:44; Isaiah 35:8; Luke 1:73-75; Titus 2:11-12). To be holy means to be "separate" from sin (2 Corinthians 6:17). That is the standard that we must come up to. As the Church observes these series of events in the media; it is imperative that we heed a few warnings from Scripture. First, what happens in the natural is a sign of what is coming in the "spiritual" (1 Corinthians 15:46). So, if a "shake up" is happening in "the world," look out Church, we are next! Thus, we need to do as the saints of old used to admonish, "get your house in order" (Isaiah 38:1). Second, we must be ever cognizant that God's judgment begins with His people (1 Peter 4:17). Therefore, we should take inventory and allow God to cleanse the "hidden corridors" of our hearts (Jeremiah 17:9; Psalm 139:23-24). We must turn from our wicked ways; according to 2 Chronicles 7:14. While a person may argue that 2 Chronicles is Old Testament; its New Testament counterpart is 1 John 1:9. #getrightchurchandletsgohome
