RELIGION “CAN” BE DANGEROUS. It can be “misused” to feed off of the fears, prejudices, insecurities, hopes & ambitions of the masses. It can be “misused” to manipulate, control, deceive & disempower the people. Religion (through the misuse of the “False Prophet”) will enable the “Antichrist” to just about deceive the entire world. Jesus (“the Word made flesh,” “God manifest in flesh,” “Emmanuel: God with us”) bypassed the corrupted religious system of His time on Earth & brought God directly to the people. The “curtain of His flesh” being torn, enables us to “come boldly before the throne of grace.” The late Senior Bishop Charles Harrison Mason said it best, “Preachers, your job is to get the people to God.” May we as Christian workers never misuse our precious faith & religion to manipulate the people for fame, fortune, power & control; but use it to “get the people to God.”James 1:27 AMP Pure and unblemished religion [as it is expressed in outward acts] in the sight of our God and Father is this: to visit and look after the fatherless and the widows in their distress, and to keep oneself uncontaminated by the [secular] world.
