Every time I turn around, I'm sharing my thoughts as a child of God, husband, father and Christian leader.

Some Facts Regarding COGIC & Target
1. 1. COGIC hasn’t received any funds from Target.
2. 2. COGIC is @ the negotiating table w/Target (along
w/the other religious organizations) to potentially receive funding.
3. 3. Target has come under fire from government for
having DEI program.
4. 4. Target is yet committed to DEI, but must do it
quietly, so as not to become a target of the government.
5. 5. Rev. Jamal Bryant, to the public, has been the
face of the Target boycott.
6. 6. However, Target isn’t willing to have negotiations
w/Rev. Bryant nor Mr. Roland Martin.
7. 7. The interpretation is that Rev. Bryant is upset
because he hasn’t been invited to negotiation table.
8. 8. The interpretation is also that Rev. Bryant
could have potentially walked away w/a “payday” if he was the only one@ the
table.
9. 9 Now the “payday” will actually come to “the
people” through these organizations.
However, no organization has received any monies yet, including the Baptists.
1010 Rev.
Willie Wilson has been tapped to be the negotiator w/Target, representing the
religious organizations.
11 11. Our
Presiding Bishop feels the truth will eventually come out.
1112. He
will eventually address “his” constituency (i.e. us); however, there is no need
to address Rev. Bryant at this time.

Pentecost Hard on the Flesh!
Pentecost was really hard on the flesh. When the movement first began, Bishop W. J. Seymour’s worship service, in Los Angeles, would begin daily @ 10AM & last late into the night. After returning from Azusa, Bishop C. H. Mason’s worship services (@ his local church in Memphis, TN) would begin at 7:30 PM & last until 6:30 AM (this was every night of the week). These worship services were in the heat of the Summer w/no AC, no audio-visual system, no electrical instruments, no big screens, no Hammond organ etc. Since Azusa had been a former AME church, turned into a horse stable; the building was infested w/flies & smelled like horse waste
. That had to be very hard on the flesh (much like the early Christians being in one room 24/7 for 10 days straight). God would have to be in the midst, to hold your attention for 11 or 12 hours per day. The miracles, deliverance & healing I read about (& have heard first hand testimonies) are astounding. God rewarded the sacrifice w/changed lives
. Seymour & Mason came from a time, where the only hope in life was in Christ (there were no careers, higher educational pursuits etc); life was hard for the downtrodden. God has richly blessed us in these days w/careers, education, vacations, etc. These things are not bad in themselves. God has been kind. If we are going to see true Revival, just pondering how we can balance a valid “life” w/the urgent/fervent pursuit for God that these early saints had
. “LORD SEND A REVIVAL & LET IT BEGIN W/ME!”
