Happy Father's Day 2022
HAPPY FATHER’S DAY 2022! Praising God for my “three blessings,” Elijah IV, Raquel and Matthew. And grateful for the memory of my “angel,” Lady Rachel Hankerson, who went “home” to be with the Lord on Fathers Day, June 20, 2021. #FathersDay #Father #Dad #COGIC #TeamCOGIC #LCIC #MMEJ

GOD IS AT WORK FOR YOU.
GOD IS AT WORK, RIGHT WHERE YOU ARE AT. The top right picture is Puerto Rico. The middle right picture is the San Juan Islands in Washington state. The bottom right picture is Lake Tahoe in California. The picture on the left must be some tropical paradise with mountain ranges, correct? No. This is a wonderful spot right here in the state of Missouri (with mountains, water and sunset) that my late wife Rachel and I claimed as “our own.” Yes, we could travel the world to great paradise destinations; and many times, we did. But there is paradise right in our “back yard.” Missouri has all of that? Absolutely. The point is, everything you need is right around you. God has given you what you need to stand in life. He is at work right where you are at. Open your eyes and see the goodness that He already has lavished on you. #IveGotWorkToDo #Hope #Inspiration
Philippians
4:11-13 ERV. 11 … I have learned to be satisfied with what I
have and with whatever happens. 12 I know how to live when
I am poor and when I have plenty. I have learned the secret of how to live
through any kind of situation—when I have enough to eat or when I am hungry,
when I have everything I need or when I have nothing. 13 Christ
is the one who gives me the strength I need to do whatever I must do.
Ephesians 5:16 CEV. … make every minute count.

WILL YOU READ THRU THE ENTIRE BIBLE W/ME?
WILL YOU READ THRU THE ENTIRE BIBLE W/ME? Yes, I have read it through many times. However, June 20, 2021 was the worst day of my life; as my beloved Rachel went home to be w/the Lord. After she passed away, I found encouragement in (once again) reading through the entire Bible. Having the need for constant strength; I am about to read from Genesis to Revelation yet again. However, this time I am inviting you to read along with me, starting June 20, 2022 – June 20, 2023, 15 minutes per day, “LIVE” every day at 6A CST. Every preacher, every Christian, should read their Bible in its entirety! You can read along w/me on all my social media pages (see flier for details). If you miss the “LIVE,” the video will remain up, so that you can view it at any time. We will read from the King James Version & I am excited to announce that the words will be on the screen, so (if you desire) you can read along (FYI I read pretty fast – smile). I am asking you to go to either website below & “register,” that you will be committing to read along w/thousands from around the world! Those who “register” & complete the entire Bible; at the conclusion will receive a “Certificate of Completion.” (Note: this is NOT a fundraiser, so please note that it is our registration host that charges a $1.00 fee to process your info). Spread the word and plan to join us on this biblical journey from Genesis to Revelation!
Habakkuk 2:14. For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea.
Romans
15:4, For whatsoever things
were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience
and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.

God Uses The Broken
WE ARE A SOCIETY THAT
THRIVES ON UPGRADES. We upgrade from outdated phones. We desire the latest
model car. If something is beyond repair, we throw it away. In contrast, God
does not throw away broken people. He takes our misery & turns it into
ministry. Today give God areas of your life that are broken & seem to be beyond
repair. And watch him use your life for His glory. #IveGotWorkToDo #Hope

Psalm 34:18 TLB. The Lord is close to those whose
hearts are breaking; he rescues those who are humbly sorry for their sins.
Psalm
51:16-17 MSG. Going through the
motions doesn’t please you, a flawless performance is nothing to you. I learned
God-worship when my pride was shattered. Heart-shattered lives ready for love don’t
for a moment escape God’s notice.

Focus On Your Blessings
WHAT GIVES YOU HOPE? A few days ago, some people commented that they were glad to see a smile on my face. Yes, the Lord Himself does light up your countenance. But, for me it’s my three blessings: Elijah IV (not pictured at this event), Raquel & Matthew. We have gone through many battles. But, these three inspirations give me hope. You have enough to worry about in life. You could focus on your problems all day & complain. Instead, today focus on the things for which you are grateful for. You will gain strength, counting your blessings not your problems. #IveGotWorkToDo
Philippians 4:7-9 MSG. “Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life. Summing it all up, friends, I’d say you’ll do best by filling your minds and meditating on things true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling, gracious—the best, not the worst; the beautiful, not the ugly; things to praise, not things to curse. Put into practice what you learned from me, what you heard and saw and realized. Do that, and God, who makes everything work together, will work you into his most excellent harmonies.”

To God Be The Glory
TO GOD BE THE
GLORY! What an honor to receive notice by postal mail (yes, contact info has
been “blotted out” lol), & flier by email, that I have been named 2022 “Alumnus
of the Year” by the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary; a part of Evangel University
in Springfield, MO. For the last 32 years, my Assemblies of God family has been
very kind & supportive. As a child, it was my dream to go to Morehouse; because
so many legendary preachers had graduated from there. That changed when I entered
ministry at 15 years old. Being Church Of God In Christ, I wanted to attend “All
Saints University” in Memphis, TN; then head to C. H. Mason Seminary in Atlanta,
GA. But, sometime later, I was looking through a Christian magazine that
mentioned, “Evangel College.” I had never heard of it. God said for me to go
there & He would bless me. The fall of 1990 (at age 18) I left my home state
of Washington & moved to Springfield, MO. The rest is history. No, it was
not revealed to me all the things that I would have to suffer for His name’s
sake. But there is no glory without a Cross. God is faithful. He will do just
what He said. He has abundantly blessed. #IveGotWorkToDo #EveryTimeITurnAround

Happy Pentecost Sunday!
HAPPY
PENTECOST SUNDAY! The day of Pentecost commemorates total commitment. Out of
the thousands that benefited from Christ’s earthly ministry, and the hundreds
that saw Him alive (after His resurrection), only 120 people stayed dedicated
to remain in Jerusalem, until they received power from on high. They shook the
world, with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Let us live out that same commitment, exemplified
by that remnant of saints, over two thousand years ago in the “Upper Room.” #COGIC

HOLY GHOST IS ESSENTIAL!
THE HOLY SPIRIT IS ESSENTIAL! 🕊 🔥 I see now why Jesus required His apostles to receive the Holy Spirit, prior to being released into ministry. They were going to suffer some gruesome things (see below) & they needed strength to endure. We may not suffer as they did; but God’s strength is essential to being effective in ministry.
Andrew. Crucified.
Bartholomew (Nathaniel). Crucified.
James (son of Zebedee). Beheaded.
James (son of Alphaeus). Beat to death.
John. Banished.
Jude (Thaddeus). Crucified.
Matthew (Levi). Stabbed to death.
Simon Peter. Crucified.
Philip. Impaled.
Simon (The Canaanite). Crucified.
Thomas. Stabbed to death.
Matthias. Beheaded.
